Contacts synchronize work 100% using opensync-plugin-kdepim and opensync-plugin-gnokii with kitchensync 0.1, all from repository of Kubuntu 8.04.

I needed only five minutes for configure opensync and copy all my contacts to my new phone. Then I did some changes in the terminal as default phone numbers. When I synchronized, all were update except birthday (I think because I need configure regional date format). One point to Opensync :D
